General Information

How to get to kumai by Air:

From your home,  please fly  to Jakarta or from Singapore to Jakarta. Then we can assist you with your internal flights  within Indonesia. There are several options: you can fly from Jakarta via Semarang or Surabaya to Pangkalanbun. You can also fly from Jakarta via Banjarmasin, Kuching, or Pontianak to Pangkalan bun.

Recommended items to bring on tours:

Good Mosquito repellent, Small Backpack (Trekking), Sunglasses / Hat, Suntan Lotion, Camera /extra Film and battery,Trekking Shoes/Socks, Light Raincoat, Towel & Mini Towel, Cotton Clothing, Flashlight / batteries, Small personal Medical Kit.

Other information :

Alcoholic beverage are not allowed here, government has banded any alcoholic beverages for the past 4 years. So don’t expect any beer even at big hotels. There are many ATMs in Kumai (BNI ATM) and you can find BNI ATM, MANDIRI BANK,DANAMON BANK,BRI,BPD in Pangkalanbun city about 30 minutes away from kumai. You can easily rent ojek/motorbikes near our office.

Within the park:

Pleae follow the rules of the park below :
1. Do not eat or drink in front of the orangutans, Keep foods and drinks in your bag.
2. For your safety and the safety of others, please keep a safe distance from the orangutans
3. when you are around the feeding please do not talk loudly which bothering the orangutans
4. Please do not approach or climb on feeding platform.
5. Please take all your rubbish with you.  
6. Do not swimming cause of the crocodile.
